Hello Fall (& DIY of Course)

The reconstructed wrap skirts have been taking over the high low look this season.
I didn’t have one yet, so what did I do? Made one!
& yes I also believe wearing white after Labor Day is totally a thing!
I was thrift shopping with my friend Kristen when I tried on an ankle length denim skirt that was not flattering one bit. She told me I was crazy for buying it, but it was only $1 so what did I have to lose … Her exact words were “that looks like a pillow case!” I thought a toga but same difference right? Below is how it turned out and you can make one just as cute!

I didn’t want mine too short but you can always alter it for the style you want! This skirt WAS a wrap skirt before which made it easier, just very long.
**All you need for this is a pair of scissors!
STEPS:
-Lay the skirt out flat and measure the length needed.
-Mark the length with a pencil.
-Start out small and cut a slight curve to get the asymmetrical look (if you want).
-The front part needs to look more straight across than the back… if you are unsure, always cut longer than you want to see how the curve is laying and for practice!
-Cut more until you get the length you want, it doesn’t have to be perfect! (I actually wanted mine to be a little messier looking).
-Once finished cutting, throw it in the washer and dryer for natural distressing at the bottom.
Optional:
-When I got the skirt it was originally khaki so I bleached it white!
-You can also add holes for a more edgy distressed look. <3
After VS. Before —>
So there you have it!
